Rahnall Lertein: 28 Has a bonsai tree passed through generations of her family. It grows deception. It thrives on tears of crocodiles mixed with murderous rage and the blood of a leader. Her family are a famous band of desert thieves. They were thrown out of the great oasis area many years ago when found to be thieving and have spent generations trying to find their way back. The oasis moves. She has come to the green lands across the water desert in search of great power? She met Scorren on this side of the world and regards him as a necessary imbecile in finding the ins and outs of this land.
Scorren: 39 Born to a whore in the great city and abandoned as a young child to the street gangs he has spent his whole life on the streets. A skinny boy who was quick to fall in with the biggest bully he could find. The only reason he's lasted so long, he is able to spy a tight spot and avoid it as best he can. This is the only time he puts his wits to good use however. He was found by Rahnall one evening after easily evading a pair of watch guards trying to apprehend him for pickpocketing. He views her as a dangerous but powerful woman. And perhaps a good mark under his direction and on his home turf. He's looking for an opportunity to take her for all she's worth. How does she trick and decieve people so well? In that regard she's a bit of an inspiration. Will have to be careful with her.
Captain Timmen Fairlong – 38 The merchant captain of the Swelling Tide, lawful good. Demands extreme loyalty in his men and strict discipline at sea to maintain profits and avoid piratical influence. A cunning but stiff man. he will break before he bends on his morals. The only way he's been able to maintain life as a merchant is because his ship runs like clockwork and is never lost or late. He became a merchant in his mid twenties. This was shortly after killing his drunken sot of a captain. He led some of the men against the previous captain and then after assuming command he punished them all (including himself) by branding an M upon their right palm. "A reminder of the price of going against a leader. Be glad he was no proper one or it would have been higher." he told them.
Rogue Six Speared (Dilne Kottspire) – 52, most feared mad pirate leader of the Seas. Harries many a coast. Part Viking-part reever. Five ships at his command. Often split on separate raiding missions but dreaded the seas over when brought together. They never seem to use the same tactics twice to trap ships at sea. No one knows how they communicate so far apart. Every ship leader in his fleet is a soul sharer with Six Speared. He found his four soul pieces along his travels. One on a desolate point of the Sea Crown, one in the last egg (special kind?) he was to be served by the _ tribe who live along the Lost Sea's shore, one within the sole of a young man's shoe (Lazarus Rame's brother?) although he thought it was within an egg stronghold (rumored to have another egg of the -------- tribe?), one in the eye of a tempest. The first one he found he decided not to join to his own body but to that of another. With magic he bound it to the body of a shipmate. The shipmate's soul is lost at sea (WHERE?). The men are not six speared but they are connected. He searches for his final soul piece. He can feel them faintly up to a mile away. The sense does not change upon coming closer. His flag ship: Lagging Mercy Other ships: Perfect Reason, Desolate Mist, Chasm of Choice, Untamed Possibility
